Kelvin O. Harrison (‘ K’, Kelly) Life with Kelvin A Life Sketch Kelvin Orville Harrison was born to Ruth and Patrick Harrison, in Harrison Town Ocho Rios October 25, 1959. He was brought up in a religious atmosphere, of Seventh Day Adventist parents. He was baptized into the faith at the Ocho Rios Seventh-Day Adventist Church. His early years was spent in his home Town where he attended and Graduated from Ocho Rios High (then Ocho Rios Secondary). After graduating from High School he left to join Erron his elder brother in Kingston, where he joined the Staff of Ryan’s Muffler, Dunrobin Ave, Kingston, where he became a very excellent Auto Mechanic. I can remember him growing up and the fun times we had playing, laughing and most affectionately when we would go bird shooting together, he was a very sharp shooter never missed a bird. He would cleaned then up and made a great dish of crispy fried birds. Kelvin never left my side he was always around me we shared good times together and he was an excellent cook, when he visited me in Kingston he would cook me some delicious meals and we would play cards, dominoes and other fund games together way up into the wee hours of the morning. Like his dad he was a lover of animals, and cared about them a lot. I can remember on more than one occasion he brought me kittens and I can’t forget a dog he gave me while I was living in Mona Commons, a beautiful little creature, which was stolen from me, that made me very sad and I even cried for hours, serious….. this dog, was such a beautiful creature, these are the memories that never leave but stays with you. While in Kingston he met Pye and between then both they produced two beautiful daughters, Sandy and Candy. He was also blessed with two beautiful granddaughters. He cherished them and did all he could to be the best father and grandfather. I can remember back in January 2009 when we spoke he sounded so elated…..He said Eveth!! Candy has another baby girl, that was the first time I knew he had another Grand-daughter. I could hear the excitement in his voice and how proud he felt that he could live to see his second generation of children. My brother migrated to the united state, and lived in New York before he returned to live in his home town again before his death. I knew him as a vibrant, fun loving person and when we spoke in January he was so full of life, as he always did. All through his life we have always been close. He was full of humour, laughter and fun. To lose him so suddenly has left a deep ripple in my heart……I’ll cherish those memories and keep them dear to me. I’ll always love you ‘K’ and the time I spent with you. On Wednesday June 10, 2009 Kelvin’s sweet spirit gently and peacefully slipped away out of his body and he was taken home to embrace the sweet forever in God’s Kingdom. Bye ‘K’ I love you.
